YOUR OREGON COAST fishing

Adventure

Oregon salmon fishing is second to none and Winchester Bay has been proudly dubbed the “Crabbing Capital of the World”. So if it’s fishing and crabbing you’re after, you’ve come to the right place.

Between the Pacific Ocean, Umpqua River, and countless estuaries, there’s plenty of bounty to share. And for beginners or those who want some pointers from a pro, charters and guided trips are available to book. But before you go, here are a few tips…

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

Fishing Derbys (August)

We have two summer derbys, the Salmon Harbor derby and the STEP fishing derby, both in August. Fun for all as winners take home CASH prizes while spectators can still get in on the action by entering various raffles.

Kids Free Fishing (June)

Kids of all ages love to participate in Oregon’s Free Fishing Weekend every June. Local fishing guides host a Free Kids Fishing Day and Derby, join us!

Crabbing (Year round)

You can crab year round, but autumn or times with little rain are the best time to come crabbing on the coast. You can crab in your own boat in the bay or ocean, charter a guide, at the crab dock by the fuel station or our favorite spot, off the Windy Cove Crab Dock. Check local guides for limits and size regulations.
