You’re in luck! Winchester Bay has great spots to cast a line.
Stop by Salmon Harbor Tackle at 495 Beach Blvd for all your fishing, crabbing, and clamming gear. They rent out crab pots and will even cook up your catch for you!
Need a quick check on river conditions? Just glance at the readerboard near the U.S. Coast Guard station, where the current Umpqua River bar report is always posted.
And before you head out fishing on the coast, visit DeepSwell for real-time info on tides, swells, and weather, so you can plan the perfect day on the water. For any questions, give the shop a call at 541-643-7055.

Planning a solo fishing trip?
Winchester Bay offers two convenient boat launches right in the harbor:

East Boat Launch – Located near the U.S. Coast Guard Station

West Boat Launch – Accessible via Ork Rock Road
With 375 moorage slips available, guests have flexible options for overnight docking.
You can:

Pay at the kiosk for nightly moorage

Purchase a slip by contacting the Harbor Office at 541-271-3407 or visiting us in person at 100 Ork Rock Road, Winchester Bay during regular business hours.
